Bei der Aufmachung hat sich TAG Heuer Gedanken gemacht. Vielleicht nicht auf den ersten Blick, aber spätestens, wenn man die schwarze Verpackung öffnet und zum ersten Mal das Innenleben bewundert. In der dunkelblau ausgekleideten Box befindet sich die Uhr auf einem rotgelben Kissen. Es passt also alles zum Farbdesign des Rennstalls. Gut gefällt mir auch die daneben liegende Garantiekarte in Hochglanzoptik samt Team-Logo. 

Die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin selbst ist ein Chronograph, wie er im Buche steht: selbstbewusst, maskulin, edel und sportlich. Das liegt vor allem an der Kombination aus Edelstahl und dunkelblauem Zifferblatt, das von roten und gelben Farbakzenten aufgelockert wird. What I really like is the back. The six-screw, solid caseback has been sunburst finished in the manufacturing process, which makes it look particularly classy. Below that, a checkered pattern reminiscent of the black and white checkered flag. Let's briefly note: at this point, the racing theme was quite beautifully implemented! Thanks to the solid caseback, the TAG Heuer Aston Martin Red Bull is water resistant to a depth of 200 meters. Thus, the racing chronograph can even keep up with many diver's watches. To withstand a pressure of 20 bar at these depths, TAG Heuer uses resistant sapphire crystal on the front. Quartz movements have their advantages The watches in TAG Heuer's Formula 1 collection are usually distinguished by their quartz movements. If you think about it in more detail, this is a good choice. A quartz movement is much lighter and more compact, which noticeably lowers the overall weight of the chronograph and reduces the overall height of the case. In everyday use, the movement also offers the typical chronograph functions, among others: Stop second, 30 minute time and 1/10th of a second. This also makes the TAG Heuer Aston Martin Red Bull interesting for use at the race track. Winding up via the massive stainless steel crown is straightforward. The haptic feedback of the two pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock is very good. We should be grateful to the Swiss watch brand for this rich navy blue hue. Here, TAG Heuer also relies on the sunburst finish familiar from the back. Despite its wealth of information with three totalizers, a date window at 4 o'clock, a minute index on the rehaut and various lettering in white and red, the dial remains uncluttered and easy to read. The second hand provides the yellow color accents. The totalizers offer precisely the functions that thrill racing fans. This also applies to the bezel, which has a tachymeter printed on it. If you measure the time it takes to cover a distance of one kilometer, you can read off the speed at which you are moving. For example, one kilometer takes 30 seconds. The second hand therefore stops at 6 o'clock. On the bezel, you'll find the indication 120, which means that you've been traveling at an average speed of 120 km/h. To round off the successful overall impression, the TAG Heuer Aston Martin Red Bull is delivered with a classic stainless steel bracelet including a folding clasp. A stainless steel bracelet like this is practically timeless and fits every occasion. The wearing comfort during my test days was extremely good. A nice detail: the TAG Heuer logo on the folding clasp. My conclusion about the TAG Heuer Aston Martin Red Bull It's already hard not to like the TAG Heuer Aston Martin Red Bull. Wie man es von einem Premium-Chronographen erwarten darf, besteht es aus hochwertigem Edelstahl, der Langlebigkeit und Robustheit gegenüber äußeren Einflüssen gewährleistet. Gut gefällt mir die Verarbeitung der Gehäuseoberflächen. Diese sind sowohl poliert als auch satiniert, was der TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin ein dynamisches Erscheinungsbild verleiht. Auf dem Gehäuse sitzt die Lünette auf. 

Wirklich gelungen finde ich die Rückseite. Der sechsfach verschraubte und massive Gehäuseboden wurde in der Fertigung mit einem Sonnenschliff versehen, was ihn besonders edel aussehen lässt. In der Mitte prangt, sauber in den Edelstahl eingraviert, das Logo des erfolgreichen Formel 1 Teams: Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. Darunter ein Karomuster, das an die schwarzweiß karierte Zielflagge erinnert. Halten wir kurz fest: an dieser Stelle wurde das Racing-Thema durchaus sehr schön umgesetzt!

Durch den massiven Gehäuseboden bringt es die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin auf eine Wasserdichtigkeit bis in eine Tiefe von 200 Meter. So kann der Racing-Chronograph selbst mit so mancher Taucheruhr mithalten. Um in diesen Tiefen einem Druck von 20 bar standhalten zu können, verwendet TAG Heuer widerstandsfähiges Saphirglas auf der Vorderseite. 

Quarzuhrwerke haben ihre Vorteile 

Die Uhren der Formula 1 Kollektion von TAG Heuer zeichnen sich in der Regel durch ihr Quarzuhrwerk aus. Bei genauerer Betrachtung ist das eine gute Wahl. Ein Quarzuhrwerk ist deutlich leichter und kompakter, was das Gesamtgewicht des Chronographen spürbar senkt und die Bauhöhe des Gehäuses reduziert. Im Alltag bietet das Uhrwerk unter anderem auch die typischen Chronographen-Funktionen: Stoppsekunde, 30 Minuten Zeit und 1/10tel Sekunde. Das macht die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin auch für den Gebrauch im Sport, z.B. auch an der Rennstrecke interessant.

Das Aufziehen über die wuchtige Edelstahlkrone gestaltet sich unkompliziert. Das haptische Feedback der beiden Drücker bei 2 und 4 Uhr ist sehr gut.

Zifferblatt und Armband der TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin

DAS Highlight der TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin ist ohne Zweifel das Zifferblatt. Für diesen satten Marineblauton sollten wir der Schweizer Uhrenmarke gratulieren. Auch hier setzt TAG Heuer auf den von der Rückseite bekannten Sonnenschliff. Und: trotz seiner Informationsfülle mit drei Totalisatoren, einem Datumsfenster bei 4 Uhr, einem Minutenindex auf dem Rehaut und diversen Schriftzügen in weiß und rot, bleibt das Zifferblatt aufgeräumt und gut ablesbar. Für die gelben Farbakzente sorgt der Sekundenzeiger. Die Totalisatoren bieten genau die Funktionen, die rennsportaffine Fans begeistern.

Das gilt auch für die Lünette, auf die ein Tachymeter aufgedruckt ist. Misst man die Zeit, die man für eine Strecke mit einer Länge von einem Kilometer benötigt, kann man ablesen, mit welcher Geschwindigkeit man sich bewegt. Ein Bespiel: Für einen Kilometer benötigt man 30 Sekunden. Der Sekundenzeiger stoppt daher bei 6 Uhr. Auf der Lünette befindet sich hier die Angabe 120. Man ist also durchschnittlich 120 km/h gefahren.

Um den gelungenen Gesamteindruck abzurunden, wird die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin mit einem klassischen Edelstahlarmband samt Faltschließe geliefert. Ein Edelstahlarmband wie dieses ist praktisch zeitlos und passt bei jedem Anlass. Der Tragekomfort während meiner Testtage war ausgesprochen gut. Ein liebevolles Detail: der TAG Heuer Schriftzug auf der Faltschließe.

Mein Fazit zur TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin

Es fällt schon schwer, die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin nicht zu mögen. Der sportliche Chronograph besticht durch seinen Hang zum Motorsport. Echte Racer und Motorsportfans werden mit dieser Uhr ihre Freude haben. Nicht nur wegen der aufregenden Optik im Red Bull Design. Auch die Funktionen sind es, die begeistern und einen erfolgreichen Tag an und auf der Rennstrecke garantieren. Rundenzeiten auf die Zehntelsekunde messen oder Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeiten berechnen? Mit der TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin ist das kein Problem.

Dennoch eignet sich der Chronograph bestens für den Gebrauch im Alltag.  Edelstahl und ein zeitloses Design machen die TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin nicht nur für echte Fans, sondern auch für die breite Masse interessant. Deswegen kann ich Euch diese Herrenuhr wärmstens empfehlen, wenn Ihr auf der Suche nach einem maskulinen Daily Rocker mit sportlichen Genen seid.
